Terms of Service

These terms cover your use of Articles, operated by Mutter Voice, LLC ("we"). By texting (855) 624-0922, entering your number on our website, or otherwise using Articles, you agree to them.

The service

You send us links to articles, posts and threads. We read them and make audio versions (a full read, a summary, or a conversation between two AI hosts) and text you a link to listen. You can also text questions about what you send and get AI-generated answers.

All voices in Articles are AI-generated, not human. Summaries, podcast conversations and answers are written by AI. They can contain mistakes, and they are not the words or views of the original author, who has not reviewed or endorsed them. Check the original for anything important.

SMS program

• Program name: Articles. Purpose: replies to the links and questions you send, listening links, login codes, and reminders you request.
• You opt in by texting (855) 624-0922, or by entering your number on our website and agreeing to get texts (for example, to unlock a shared listen). We only text you about things you asked for.
• Message frequency varies with how much you use the service.
• Message and data rates may apply.
• Reply STOP to cancel at any time. You will get one confirmation and no further messages. Reply START to rejoin.
• Reply HELP for help, or email support@muttervoice.com.
• Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Plans and billing

The free plan includes 3 listens a month. Plus is $6.99 a month or $59 a year for 12 listens a month. Pro is $12.99 a month or $99 a year for 25 listens a month. Plans are billed in advance through Polar, our payment provider and merchant of record, and renew until you cancel. Yearly plans get their listens one month at a time. Listens refill each month and unused ones don't carry over. A full read counts as one listen per 15 minutes. You can cancel any time from your dashboard; access continues until the end of the paid period.

Shared links and guest listens

Summary and podcast links can be shared. To play one without an account, you enter your phone number, agree to these terms, and confirm a code we text you. Each number gets 3 free guest listens; after that you'll need your own account, which you get by texting us. Full reads are personal: they only play for the person who asked for them. If someone shares a full read with you, we make you your own copy and text it to you, and it counts as one of your listens.

Articles you send and what we make from them

• Only send links to content you're allowed to access. Don't use Articles to get around paywalls, logins or other access controls.
• Articles and posts belong to their authors and publishers. Sending us a link doesn't give you or us any rights in the original, and we don't claim any.
• Neither you nor we claim ownership of the audio, summaries, podcast conversations and transcripts Articles generates. We give you a limited, personal, non-transferable permission to listen to what we make for you, for your own non-commercial use.
• Don't download and republish, sell, or redistribute generated audio or transcripts, and don't share full reads. You may share summary and podcast links through our listen pages.
• Don't use anything from Articles to train AI models.

Copyright and takedown requests

We respect authors' rights. If you own content and believe Articles uses it in a way that infringes your copyright, or you just don't want your work processed by Articles, email support@muttervoice.com with: your contact details, the work, the Articles link or the original link involved, a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use isn't authorized, and a statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner. We will remove the material, and on request block future processing of your work. We end the accounts of repeat infringers.

When a post is deleted on X, or its account goes private or is suspended, we delete our copies of it, including any audio made from it.

Acceptable use

Don't use Articles to break the law or anyone's rights, to harass anyone, to send spam, or to overload or reverse-engineer the service. Don't enter a phone number that isn't yours. We may limit or end access for anyone who does.

Disclaimers

Articles is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
